Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using Siam Tranship.
About the Service
Do you sell fish or only tranship?
We are a transhipping and coordination service — not a fish retailer. Fish are purchased directly from Thai sellers. Siam Tranship collects transhipping, handling, and delivery fees only.
What fish can you handle?
We support betta fish, fancy guppies, flowerhorn (by request), and other freshwater ornamental fish by request. Acceptance depends on species, size, and shipping conditions.
Do you only handle betta fish?
No. We also handle guppies, flowerhorn (with special arrangement), and other freshwater ornamental fish by request.
Fish & Species
Can you ship guppies?
Yes. We support fancy guppy shipments including pairs, trios, and small group shipments from Thai breeders.
Can you ship flowerhorn?
Yes, but flowerhorn shipments require custom arrangement and custom pricing due to the fish's size and handling requirements. Please contact us before booking a flowerhorn shipment.
Is flowerhorn pricing the same as betta or guppy?
No. Flowerhorn require larger boxes, more water volume, and special handling. Pricing is custom and must be agreed upon before payment.
Can bettas, guppies, and flowerhorns ship together?
Combining species in one shipment depends on compatibility and handling requirements. Contact us to discuss if you need mixed-species shipping.
Booking
Can I use any Thai seller?
Yes. You purchase fish from any Thai seller of your choice. Simply provide their contact details in your booking so we can coordinate receipt of your fish.
What information do I need before booking?
You will need your Thai seller's name and contact info, your full USA delivery address, fish type and quantity, and your preferred shipment date. All fields are part of the booking form.
When should I book my shipment?
Book before the booking cut-off date for your preferred shipment date. Cut-offs are listed on the Schedule page. Booking early ensures your spot and gives your seller time to prepare.
After Booking
What happens after I pay?
You will receive a booking confirmation by email. Siam Tranship will coordinate with your Thai seller to receive and process your fish. You will receive updates as the shipment progresses.
What if my Thai seller sends fish late?
If fish arrive after the required date, the shipment may be moved to the next available date, depending on the fish condition and holding feasibility. Siam Tranship is not responsible for seller delays.
Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations before the cut-off date are eligible for a partial refund minus payment processing fees. Cancellations after cut-off are generally non-refundable. See the Refund Policy for full details.
Delivery & Claims
What if the fish arrives dead?
DOA claims must be submitted within 2 hours of confirmed delivery with clear photos/video. Eligibility depends on delivery method, fish type, seller condition, and compliance with claim requirements. See the DOA Policy for full terms.
Who is responsible for fish quality?
The health and quality of fish before shipment is the responsibility of the Thai seller. Siam Tranship does not inspect or guarantee fish quality purchased from third-party sellers.
Do you offer airport pickup or home delivery?
Both options may be available depending on your location and shipment type. You can choose your preferred delivery method during the booking process.
