Scope of Service
Siam Tranship provides freshwater fish transhipping and coordination services from Thailand to the United States of America. We coordinate shipments of live freshwater ornamental fish, including but not limited to betta fish, fancy guppies, flowerhorn, and other freshwater ornamental fish by request.
Siam Tranship is a transhipping service provider. We are not necessarily the seller of the fish unless clearly stated otherwise. Fish are typically purchased directly from Thai sellers by the USA buyer.
Shipment Schedule
Shipments depart on scheduled dates published on our Schedule page. Shipment dates and availability are subject to change based on airline schedules, cargo space, customs, seasonal restrictions, and operational considerations.
Siam Tranship reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a shipment date due to circumstances beyond our control. We will notify affected customers as early as possible and offer the option to transfer to the next available shipment date.
Cut-off Dates
Each shipment has a booking cut-off date, typically 2 days before the scheduled departure. Bookings submitted after the cut-off date will be placed on the next available shipment.
The seller must have the fish ready and delivered to the consolidation point by the agreed cut-off date. Late fish submission may result in the fish being held for the next shipment, with no refund of the original transhipping fee for missed slots.
Seller Responsibility
The Thai seller is responsible for:
- Fish health, condition, and quality before shipment
- Proper packing of fish for air transport (oxygen bags, appropriate water, suitable containers)
- Delivering fish to the agreed consolidation point by the cut-off date
- Providing accurate fish counts, species information, and any special handling notes
Buyer Responsibility
The USA buyer is responsible for:
- Providing a correct and complete delivery address
- Being available to receive the shipment at the agreed time and location
- Completing booking before the cut-off date
- Ensuring their state and local laws allow import of the purchased species
- Preparing appropriate fish tanks or housing before receiving the shipment
Siam Tranship is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect delivery addresses, missed delivery, delayed pickup, or failure to be present to receive the shipment.
Delays and Disruptions
Live fish shipments can be affected by circumstances outside of Siam Tranship's control, including:
- Airline schedule changes, cancellations, or cargo restrictions
- Customs inspection or detention
- Weather conditions at origin or destination
- Carrier delays or rerouting
- Public holidays or operational disruptions
In the event of a delay, Siam Tranship will communicate updates to affected customers. Delays outside our control do not automatically entitle the buyer to a refund. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for applicable conditions.
Fish Eligibility
Siam Tranship may refuse, hold, or return fish shipments that:
- Do not meet health or condition standards for safe air transport
- Are species not approved for import by US authorities
- Are improperly packed or labeled
- Exceed agreed quantities or size restrictions
Flowerhorn and large fish require custom preparation and pre-approval. Please contact us before booking flowerhorn shipments.
